Fight Teen Obesity

Obesity among youth is a growing concern. When a teen is obese you need to start encouraging your teen to eat healthier foods. Start setting a good example by eliminating calorie-loaded sods, fruit juices, and energy drinks from your pantry shelves, and encourage your teens to drink plenty of water each day. Another way to fight teen obesity is to introduce as many vegetables as possible to the diet of your teens and get rid of the prepackaged convenience goodies that is making teen obese and who are notorious for depleting in one sitting.

Also having your teen obese actively participate in the preparation and clean up for meals will help them pay more attention to the things they put into their mouths as well as the messes they make in the process.

The education for teen obesity begins at home and by setting good example. Children learn by what they see not necessarily by what you say. Therefore setting a good example at home will provide the foundation for your teen to take with them as they become a young adult and preferably one that is of a normal weight and is fit.
